AI is quietly replacing decision-makers, not just jobs: report
BENGALURU: Artificial intelligence is moving beyond assisting people at work and is increasingly making decisions on their behalf. According to HCLSoftware’s Tech Trends 2026 report, enterprises are entering a phase where AI systems do not just analyse information but initiate, execute and complete work end-to-end, with limited human involvement.
The report, based on eight months of research and insights from 173 enterprise leaders, shows that AI agents and autonomous systems are now the strongest global technology priority, with 76% of leaders placing them at the top of their agendas.
