OpenAI expands its India-exclusive ChatGPT subscription tier to global users

OpenAI has expanded its India-exclusive ChatGPT Go subscription tier for global users. Initially, it was introduced in August 2025 in India and has now been made available in 170 countries, thus being OpenAI’s fastest-growing plan and one of the cheapest AI plans available in the market. The company designed ChatGPT Go to expand access to ChatGPT’s popular features and help more people use advanced AI in their daily lives.

In a blog post, the company claimed that in markets where the ChatGPT Go tier has been available, OpenAI has observed strong adoption and everyday use for tasks such as writing, learning, image creation, and problem-solving.
