Electronics manufacturing leads PLI scheme as production jumps 146%: Report

Electronics manufacturing, especially of mobile phones, has emerged as a standout performer, in the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, with production rising 146% from ₹2.13 lakh crore in the Financial Year 2021 to ₹5.45 lakh crore in Financial Year 2025, as per the data shared by the CareEdge Ratings.

The rise in production was aided by USD 4 billion FDI inflows, 70% of which came to PLI beneficiaries, the rating agency said.
