Anthropic appoints Irina Ghose as India MD

Anthropic said it has appointed Irina Ghose as managing director for India, as it looks to strengthen its presence in the local market. The former Microsoft India MD joins at a time when the country has emerged as the second-largest user base globally for Anthropic’s Claude.ai chatbot.

The AI company plans to open its Bengaluru office in February.

Ghose has been in the technology sector for over 30 years, with her most recent stint being as managing director of Microsoft India, where she led enterprise AI adoption across industries such as BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare, technology services, and government. She has held leadership roles across sales, enterprise solutions, education, and go-to-market strategy.
