Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s $14 billion AI hire Alexandr Wang comes under spotlight as AI godfather raises concerns

Meta’s former chief AI scientist Yann Lecun has strongly criticised Meta’s recent AI leadership decision. Yann who is referred to as The “godfather of AI” said in an interview to Financial Times that Meta’s newest AI boss, 29-year-old billionaire Alexandr Wang, was “young” and “inexperienced.”

He is therefore raising concerns about the company’s future plans in this fast-moving field.
