Data centre biz has room for multiple biggies: TCS CEO K Krithivasan

Tata Consultancy Services is in discussions with multiple artificial intelligence firms to set up their data centres in India, which has enough room to accommodate multiple large global players in this space, chief executive K Krithivasan and finance chief Samir Seksaria said. TCS is actively pursuing acquisitions to build AI capabilities and sees the demand environment improving, they said. They spoke with ET’s Surabhi Agarwal and Himanshi Lohchab after India’s IT market leader posted a near 5% increase in third-quarter revenue, but a 14% fall in net profit, hurt by a one-time cost on implementing new Labour Codes.
