DoT issues licence fee notice to GTPL Broadband for FY25
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued a demand-cum-show cause notice to GTPL Broadband, a subsidiary of India’s largest cable TV company GTPL Hathway, for the assessment of licence fees for the financial year 2024-25, the company said in its Q3 regulatory filing.
GTPL Broadband said it is in the process of submitting its reply to the notice. Based on its assessment of the legal position and opinions obtained from independent legal experts, the company said it believes it has strong grounds to defend its case on merit.
