Limited options to provide AGR-like relief for Vodafone Idea’s ₹1.2 lakh crore spectrum dues: Analysts
NEW DELHI: The decision to freeze Vodafone Idea’s (Vi) adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues provides the telecom carrier a breather, but the Centre may have limited options to provide a similar relief to the struggling telco for its mammoth spectrum dues of nearly ₹1.2 lakh crore, according to analysts at leading brokerages.
“Vodafone Idea also owes ~₹1.22 lakh crore spectrum dues to the government; and is required to make a payment of ₹2,500 crore in FY26E, ₹7,000 crore in FY27E, ~₹15,000 crore in FY28E, and ~₹27,000 crore over FY29–FY32E, as per our understanding, in lieu of spectrum dues,” analysts at JM Financial said in a research note.
