Google recently integrated the Gemini 3 AI model into Gmail. Announcing the update, CEO Sundar Pichai shared an X post writing: “We launched Gmail on April Fool’s Day in 2004. 20+ years later, we’re bringing Gmail into the Gemini era. AI Overviews, Suggested personalized replies, Proof read, AI Inbox with new streamlined views and suggested topics to catch-up on and loads more”. Now, Google AI CEO and Nobel Laureate Demis Hassabis has replied to Pichai’s post saying the AI integration into Gmail has been on his “personal wishlist for a long time”. Hassabis further said this is a “fantastic example of how AI can be helpful in everyday life”.
