Vodafone Idea shares zoom 8% after telco confirms AGR relief, unveils repayment plan

Vodafone Idea shares jumped 7.8% to an intraday high of ₹12.40 on the BSE in early trade on Friday, January 9, after the company unveiled a timeline for repaying its telecom dues to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), including payments related to adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues.

The relief pertains to liabilities for the period from FY 2006–07 to FY 2018–19, which are now set to be frozen as of December 31, 2025, and repaid in a staggered manner over a 15-year window.
