Vodafone Idea unveils repayment schedule for AGR dues after DoT lifeline

The government has finally lifted the AGR overhang for Vodafone Idea Ltd., in what can be seen as a financial lifeline for a telecom company that hasn’t turned a profit since the merger in 2018.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has frozen the company’s AGR dues—comprising principal, interest, and penalties accrued between fiscal years 2007 and 2019—as on 31 December 2025, according to a stock exchange filing on Friday.
