AMD unveils new AI chips at CES event in Las Vegas

Advanced ⁠Micro Devices CEO Lisa Su showed off the company’s ‌MI455 GPU ‌chips on Monday at the ‌CES trade show in Las Vegas.

The advanced AI processors are a component in the data center server racks ‌that ‍the company ‍is selling to firms like ChatGPT ‌maker OpenAI. In October, AMD signed a deal with OpenAI worth tens of billions of ‍dollars.

OpenAI President Greg Brockman joined Su ‍on ⁠stage ⁠and touted the benefits of the company’s products.
