Amazon brings Alexa+ to the web, taking on ChatGPT, Gemini in AI chatbot race
Amazon has announced that its AI assistant Alexa+ is now available on the web via a new Alexa.com website. This rollout extends access to all Alexa+ Early Access customers, enabling them to interact with the assistant across voice, mobile, and now browser platforms. With this move, Amazon aims to give direct competition to other web-based AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Gemini and more. “You can use Alexa.com to get quick answers, explore complex topics, create content, plan trip itineraries, and get help with homework. But Alexa+ doesn’t just provide information, it’s designed to take action. It can help you complete countless tasks: managing your to-do list, updating your family calendar, controlling your smart home, making reservations, and so much more,” said Amazon.
