New Delhi: Relief granted to Vodafone Idea on its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues has triggered demand for similar government support from hundreds of standalone internet service providers (ISPs) and other non-telcos struggling under hefty AGR liabilities.
These firms face AGR dues running into thousands of crores following a 2019 Supreme Court ruling, which prompted the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to raise demands against several companies beyond telcos, including ISPs, VSAT operators and public sector entities.
