OpenAI launches ChatGPT App Store: Here’s what it means for developers and users
ChatGPT creator OpenAI has officially launched a ChatGPT App Store, signalling a major step in transforming its AI chatbot into a complete platform. This move by OpenAI will enable developers to create, submit and publish apps directly inside ChatGPT. This initiative will help in creating new opportunities for innovation and monetisation. “We’re also introducing an app directory right inside ChatGPT, where users can browse featured apps or search for any published app. The app directory is discoverable from the tools menu or directly from chatgpt.com/apps. Developers can also use deep links on other platforms to send users right to their app page in the directory,” said the company.
