India’s telecom operators plan to invest more than ₹1 lakh crore in artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data centres, edge infrastructure and cloud functions to shift from network expansion to compute-intensive digital infrastructure in the next two-three years as they target enterprise revenue growth to 40% of total, said industry executives.
“Of the FY27 investment budgets, 20-30% is expected to shift toward building AI-ready data centres, edge infrastructure and cloud functions,” said Aditya Khaitan, partner at Deloitte India.
