SC backs DMRC decision to select Indus Towers
The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the decision of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) to select Indus Towers to install and operate in-building solutions for 5G mobile services along the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line.
It dismissed a plea by Crest Digital, one of the contenders, against DMRC’s choice to award the contract on a nomination basis via private negotiations.
The court however gave Crest liberty to apply afresh for grant of 12 metre area for coverage and directed DMRC to consider its application on “suitable” consideration.-Indu Bhan
