Vodafone Idea launches recharge-linked handset theft & insurance plans
NEW DELHI: India’s third-largest telecom operator, Vodafone Idea (Vi), has expanded its partnership with Aditya Birla Health Insurance to launch recharge-linked theft and insurance plans for its prepaid subscribers, using iOS and Android devices.
This comes as the telco expands its digital financial services portfolio to arrest subscriber churn, and attract more users to its network in a bid to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) and compete strongly with larger rivals, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.
