Youth believe AI knows all, can be trusted: Study

BENGALURU: More than half of young Indians surveyed believe that Artificial Intelligence “knows everything” and can be trusted like a parent or teacher, highlighting the growing risks of misinformation and hidden bias in AI systems.

A survey of 2,500 ITI and secondary school students revealed that 52.24 per cent of girls and 53.37 per cent of boys viewed generative AI chatbots as all-knowing entities, while 55.6 per cent of girls and 47.5 per cent of boys believed chatbots always give correct answers.
