Auditor flags lapses in Apple GCC’s data backup, audit trails
Kolkata: Apple’s India facility to support its global operations has drawn auditor scrutiny in its first year of business, with SR Batliboi & Associates flagging gaps in statutory compliance in the company’s annual report for FY25.
Apple Operations India did not maintain daily backup of the books of account in electronic mode on servers physically located in India from April to October 5, 2024, the auditor said in the annual report filed with the Registrar of Companies (RoC). After that period, the global capability centre (GCC) maintained the daily backup as required by law, with it implementing an automated system to ensure compliance.
