Telecom department may knock DoPT for more ITS officers intake, cadre review

NEW DELHI: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is expected to formally write to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) seeking the Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS) cadre review as well as to increase officers’ annual intake.

“We are in the discussions stage, and may soon ask the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for ITS cadre review including an increase in the strength following the widespread role of telecommunications,” a senior government official told ETTelecom on the condition of anonymity.
