Some telcos to raise prepaid tariffs to lift profit margins
New Delhi: All telecom operators barring Reliance Jio have started to revise prices of certain prepaid plans from November amid expectations of a sector-wide tariff hike in the next few weeks.
With aggregate revenue growth moderating to 10% in the September quarter from 14-16% over the last four quarters, and expected to decline further in the December quarter, analysts expect a 15% rise in telecom tariffs.
