NEW DELHI: The year 2025 proved disruptive for India’s minuscule yet significant Internet Service Provider (ISP) market, amid heightened competition from bigger players, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, according to analysts and executives.
Both telecom carriers made inroads into smaller cities and towns with their 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) offerings, in a bid to drive fixed broadband revenues through tiered speed and data plans, starting as low as ₹499 for 40Mbps.
