Constl achieves 1Tbps transmission over long-haul distance using Ciena solution

NEW DELHI: Homegrown digital infrastructure provider Constl on Thursday said it has deployed Ciena’s WaveLogic 6 Extreme (WL6e) solution to deliver high-capacity 800GbE capacity for the artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The deployment follows a successful live trial, in which Constl achieved a 1Tbps line rate on a single optical channel using WL6e across the 1,450 km Mumbai–Chennai route – one of the busiest and most critical corridors for the Haryana-based vendor.
