ChatGPT-maker OpenAI to acquire AI startup that has Samsung and HP as customers

ChatGPT-maker OpenAI has reached an agreement to acquire Neptune, a startup specialising in providing tools that help companies track, manage and debug their AI model training processes. Notably, OpenAI is already a key customer of Neptune, which also has several major global corporations among its clients, including Samsung, Roche and HP.

“We’re excited to share that OpenAI has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire neptune.ai, strengthening the tools and infrastructure that support progress in frontier research,” the company said in an announcement.
