Sanchar Saathi is not a spy app, but to help protect phone users from fraud and track lost devices: Jyotiraditya Scindia

The government has asserted that Sanchar Saathi app is not a snooping or surveillance tool. Speaking in the Parliament, Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, said, “Neither snooping is possible with the Sanchar Saathi app nor will it ever be. The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji is committed to giving the public full control and authority over their security. The success of Sanchar Saathi and its widespread use is the result of the trust and participation of the public.”

Telecom minister also said that the government is willing to make changes based on any crucial feedback received. He said, “We are ready to make changes to the order based on the feedback we receive.”
