Reliance Jio, NHAI collaborate to deploy safety alert system across national highways: What it means for Jio users
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Reliance Jio to deploy a telecom-based safety alert system across the National Highway network. The initiative is aimed at enhancing safety by alerting drivers with advance warnings as they approach dangerous or risk-prone areas. According to the announcement, the system will leverage Jio’s existing 4G and 5G network to deliver timely alerts to mobile phones of Jio users traveling on or near National Highways.
