‘Not finalised’: Nvidia CFO says chipmaker still working on $100 billion deal with ChatGPT-maker OpenAI

Nvidia’s chief financial officer, Colette Kress, has said that the chipmaker’s massive, multi-billion-dollar investment ChatGPT-maker OpenAI remains a work in progress. Kress, while speaking at the UBS Global Technology and AI Conference in Arizona, said that there are ongoing discussions about the $100 billion partnership, considered central to the high-stakes AI race and investments in the sector.

“We still haven’t completed a definitive agreement, but we’re working with them,” Kress said, as per news agency Reuters. Nvidia, the world’s most valuable company, unveiled a letter of intent in September signaling its plan to invest up to $100 billion in the startup.
