Not convincing: France on dismissing local browser’s antitrust case against Microsoft

France’s competition watchdog, the Autorité de la Concurrence, has rejected a complaint filed by the local search engine company Qwant against Microsoft. According to a report by the news agency Reuters, Qwant had accused the software giant of unfairly leveraging its market power. The French regulator said that Qwant did not provide enough convincing evidence to support these serious claims. As a result, the case was dismissed, and the regulator also refused to impose any temporary penalties on Microsoft that Qwant had requested.
