Google co-founder Sergey Brin has donated over $1.1 billion in Alphabet Inc. stock this week, directing the majority toward a nonprofit organization he established, according to a regulatory filing disclosed.
The massive donation involved more than 3.5 million shares, with approximately $1 billion allocated to Catalyst4, a nonprofit Brin founded in 2021. The organization focuses on dual missions: advancing research into central nervous system diseases and developing climate-change solutions, a spokesperson for Brin’s family office confirmed.
