Electronics and chip firms take a liking to new states entering fray

India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing map has gone beyond the usual suspects.

Several new states are popping up as lucrative investment destinations, such as Odisha where SiCSem is setting up an end-to-end silicon carbide semiconductor plant and 3D Glass Solutions is building a facility to manufacture advanced packaging and embedded glass substrate.

Elsewhere, Meena Electrotech is building a multilayer printed circuit boards (PCB) unit in Jammu. Sierra Circuits (India) is setting up a multilayer PCB production line in Goa and SRF Ltd is readying a facility in Madhya Pradesh.
