Black Friday sales up 25-30% YoY for online commerce platforms driven by GST cut, D2C offers

Online commerce brands and platforms saw 25–30% year-on-year sales growth this year during the Black Friday sales period, compared with 17–18% last year, driven by cuts in goods and services tax (GST) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand sales, industry experts and analysts told ET.

In India, Black Friday sales typically start on the Friday after Thanksgiving and continue until Monday, which is Cyber Monday.
