Nokia wins extended 5-year deal to modernise Telefonica ’s 5G RAN

NEW DELHI: Finland’s Nokia has won a new five-year deal from Telefonica Germany to modernise and upgrade its nationwide 5G radio access network (RAN).

The deal includes Nokia’s Cloud RAN solutions and supports Telefonica’s ambitions for rapid 5G expansion and sustainable digitalisation across Germany, and delivering premium customer experiences, according to a joint statement.

Nokia will also install its AI-powered solutions for the telecom operator.
