Amazon start testing Leo satellite internet service with business to compete with Elon Musk’s Starlink

Amazon recently started testing its satellite internet service, Leo, with select businesses. This move has positioned the e-commerce giant to test to compete directly with Elon Musk’s Starlink. In a blog post, the company confirmed that it has started “enterprise preview” of Amazon Leo. The company has also invited businesses to try its production hardware and software ahead of a broader public launch. The testing program is designed to gather feedback and allow Amazon to customise its solutions for various industries. Earlier this month, Amazon changed its satellite internet service’s name from Project Kuiper to Amazon Leo, referencing the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) region where its satellite constellation will operate.
