Airtel escalates row, reiterates Tejas’ equipment ‘sub-standard’
New Delhi: The tussle between Bharti Airtel and Tejas Networks has escalated with the country’s second-largest telecom operator reiterating that equipment made by the Tata-owned company and deployed by state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), are “sub-standard” while dismissing the local equipment maker’s clarification.
The assertion from Airtel followed Tejas Networks denying claims around its equipment and instead placing the blame on Airtel for putting up sites very close to BSNL that was leading to interference in the Rajasthan circle.
