Data centre industry wants quick RoW sanction guarantees

The need for clear and enforced timelines for government approvals on setting up data centres and easing right of way (RoW) issues have emerged as key demands of the data centre industry from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in recent talks, people aware of the matter said.

During consultations held by MeitY on the draft data centre policy, industry players cited the requirement of multiple government permissions as a major hassle for establishing new units.
