Eight years after Google was roasted online for a cheeseburger emoji that placed the cheese under the meat. Now, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has finally set the record straight with the help of Google’s latest generative AI models. Back in 2017, Google faced a lot of backlash when the ingredients of its cheeseburger emoji in Android were stacked incorrectly. Pichai jokingly apologised at that time and promised to soon come up with a fix. Recently, the Google CEO delivered the correct emoji. Pichai shared a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) in which he shared an AI-generated cheeseburger image with the cheese firmly above the patty, captioned “iykyk” as a nod to the viral furor.
