Mumbai man loses 1.9cr in share market scam, 2 arrested from Rajkot

Mumbai: The West region cyber police have arrested two persons from Gujarat for renting a bank account and operating it for criminal activities to receive money from an unsuspecting ‘investor’ who was duped of Rs 1.92 crore. The victim, who trades in the share market, was convinced by the wanted accused to invest in shares through their company and make a high return. In 11 transactions, he transferred Rs 1.92 crore. His investment and profit on a fake webpage were shown as Rs 7.64 crore. He tried to withdraw the profit but failed.

Those arrested were Sawan Dineshbhai Gonadalia (30), who runs an imitation jewellery shop in Rajkot, and Tushar Ukeshbhai Vagasia (40), a scrap dealer. The wanted accused had transferred Rs 6 lakh in Gonadalia’s account.
