Oppo eyes AI-backed premiumisation to spur Find X9 smartphone demand

NEW DELHI: Mobile phone maker Oppo said that it sees Indian consumers’ shift to the premium segment would take off its artificial intelligence (AI)-backed premium Find X9 smartphone, following increased adoption of next-generation (5G) services.
“The market demand for premium smartphones in India is growing. Globally, the demand to upgrade a phone to high end and premium is increasing. India also has a similar trend with people wanting to upgrade their phone from 4G to 5G,” Peter Dohyung Lee, Head of Product Strategy at Oppo, told ETTelecom.
