Nokia wins 5G gear, capacity upgrade deal from Telecom Italia

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia said it has won a “landmark” three-year deal from Telecom Italia to deploy the latest fifth-generation (5G) network equipment and expand capacity.
Nokia said it won the deal after a “competitive tender process”, and has made “significant market share gains”. The partnership covers the telecom operator’s customers across new regions, in addition to Nokia’s existing footprint.
