Airtel brings mobile connectivity to Eastern Ladakh’s isolated villages

Leading telecom operator Airtel has achieved a new milestone by providing mobile connectivity to remote villages of Ladakh. The service provider has announced that it has expanded its mobile network to Man and Merak, two isolated villages on the eastern side of Ladakh, near the iconic Pangong Lake. With this deployment in place, Airtel has become the first and only telecom provider to offer mobile connectivity in the region.

The stretch between Man and Merak has long suffered from zero network coverage, leaving residents and tourists, without access to essential communication tools. Airtel’s rollout now bridges a 50-kilometer gap, connecting the entire route between Chushul and Pangong Tso.
