Apple and ChatGPT maker OpenAI have failed to convince a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter), which accuses the companies of conspiring to monopolise the markets for smartphones and generative AI chatbots. According to a report by news agency Reuters, US District Judge Mark Pittman in Fort Worth, Texas, ruled that the lawsuit – brought by Musk’s social media platform X and his startup xAI – can proceed for now.
