ITS officers contributing to standards development in global bodies: Scindia

NEW DELHI: India’s top telecom service (ITS) officials are representing the country at global bodies, including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and 3GPP, to contribute to the development of next-generation standards, Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Friday.

In March 2023, the United Nations’ telecom agency opened the “ITU Area Office and Innovation Centre” in the national capital to promote advanced technologies within the region and beyond.
