India ahead of others in AI investment and adoption: Google exec

Google is doubling down on the Indian market through investments and infrastructure amid increasing demand from businesses and startups in the country, said Matt Renner, president, Global Revenue for Google Cloud.

Speaking to journalists at a media roundtable, Renner said the company is seeing a progressive set of demands from India and a lot of focus from Indian companies, both from B2B and B2C perspective, when it comes to AI. “We are trying to meet that demand with our investments and infrastructure,” he said. He pointed out that India is investing in AI more than any other country and it is at the forefront.
