H-1B visa abuse by American companies makes the US launch major investigations

The US authorities have launched a crackdown on H-1B visas. The Department of Labor has initiated 175 investigations into potential abuses of the H-1B visa program to safeguard American jobs and ensure the employment of essential foreign workers in the United States.

Earlier in September, the DOL launched Project Firewall to ensure that employers prioritize qualified Americans for job positions and prevent abuse of the H1B visa program for hiring foreign workers.
