The telecom evolution of India shows no signs of stopping. Already a leading country in the world of telecommunications, several recent projects and initiatives are fuelling dramatic growth and transformation across the country.
Central to these developments is the population’s significant dependency on cellular connectivity. In early 2025, there were 1.12 billion cellular mobile connections active in India, making up approximately 76.6% of the total population.
