BSNL to launch VoWi-Fi, custom plans for students, women soon: Robert Ravi
NEW DELHI: State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), following a pilot initiative, is set to unveil Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) and is also going to launch special plans for women and students soon, according to a top official.
“Live pilots for VoWi-Fi are ongoing in two zones, and performance has been strong in indoor and low-signal environments. Pending a final go-ahead, we’ll make the service available shortly to our customers,” A. Robert Jerard Ravi, Chairman, BSNL, told ETTelecom.
