AMD CEO Lisa Su OpenAI deal could bring $100 billion in revenue
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) CEO Lisa Su said the company’s multi-year partnership with OpenAI could generate more than $100 billion in revenue and help strengthen its position in the fast-growing AI market. Speaking during AMD’s third-quarter earnings call on November 4, Su said the collaboration with OpenAI will “significantly accelerate” AMD’s data center AI business. The agreement includes a large-scale deployment of AMD’s Instinct GPUs, with a total of 6 gigawatts of compute power.
“The first gigawatt of MI450 series accelerators [is] scheduled to start coming online in the second half of 2026,” Su said adding: “The partnership establishes AMD as a core compute provider for OpenAI and underscores the strength of our hardware, software, and full-stack solutions strategy.”
