Indus Towers an ‘undervalued asset’, says Bharti Airtel’s Gopal Vittal
NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel Vice Chairman and Managing Director Gopal Vittal said on Tuesday that the company sees Indus Towers as an “undervalued asset”, and has a strong dividend-paying potential.
“We see Indus (Towers) as a very clearly undervalued asset. It’s a strong dividend-paying company. It’s a vital infrastructure for us. Given all of these reasons, we have taken an enabling provision to take up the stake there,” Vittal told analysts at Airtel’s fiscal second quarter (Q2FY26) post-earnings conference call.
“At some point, based on how things play out, we will look to activate that provision.”
