Amazon to pay $1.5 billion in FTC settlement — here’s how Prime members can claim their cash
Amazon has reached a massive $2.5 billion settlement with the FTC. Out of this, $1 billion will go to the government, while $1.5 billion will be given to customers who were affected by what the FTC called “deceptive Prime sign-up practices.” About 35 million people are expected to get refunds. The refund amount could go up to $51 per person, depending on eligibility.
